Relief carvings carry a history far older than written language itself. If we view painting and sculpture as two opposites—the two-dimensional and the three-dimensional—the various forms of relief literally bridge the gap between them.
From low relief (Bas-relief) found on coins, where volume emerges purely through contours, to high relief (Alto-relief), where elements of the figures detach from the background to stand freely in space, reliefs offer an endless interplay between light, shadow, and depth.

It required countless hours of manual labor by highly skilled artisans, materials were prohibitively expensive, and production times were vast. The most unforgiving aspect? Correcting a mistake in stone was virtually impossible.

While our subject matter is often inspired by historical landmarks, Orthodox iconography, and cultural heritage, every single 3D model is digitally sculpted from scratch by the mDK Creations team.
We translate two-dimensional imagery and historical references into complex, three-dimensional reliefs. We strictly avoid pre-made, commercially available 3D templates or generic internet assets. A Quick Overview of What We Do
Every design in our collection can be custom-made in sizes ranging from 5cm to 2m (2" to 6.6ft).
• Very small items — up to 5–7cm (2"–2.8"): Ideal for jewelry, clothing accessories, pendants, and keychains.
• Small items — 8–12cm (3.1"–4.7"): Perfect for fridge magnets, bas-relief ashtrays, or tabletop icons.
• Wall-mounted reliefs: Start at 15cm (5.9") and can scale up to any size, limited only by your imagination and our structural expertise.

Framing & Installation
All wall-mounted pieces can be framed with wood or plexiglass.
• For smaller sizes, framing adds extra presence, volume, and premium feel.

For large-scale installations, we engineer custom structural solutions to fit your space perfectly. We can design them as freestanding structures (like architectural columns) or build them to look beautifully carved-in or fully embedded into the wall.
Production Methods: 3D Printed vs. Cast
We use two distinct production methods, depending on your project's volume, budget, and location requirements:
1. 3D Printed Materials (Indoor Use Only – Cheap – Ideal for One-Off & Unique Pieces)
• Best for: Dry indoor environments (sensitive to high heat and prolonged moisture).
• Cost Structure: Since each item is printed individually, there are no economies of scale — the first copy costs the same as the last. This makes 3D printing the most cost-effective choice for custom, one-off projects, but less economical for large production runs.
• Polymer Plastics (Standard Option): Great for mid-to-large sizes. We do not use them for very small items because they cannot capture ultra-fine details. They also require significant manual labor during the post-printing and finishing stages.
• Resins (Premium Option): More complex to print, but they offer flawless clarity, capturing the most intricate details down to 1/20th of a millimeter (0.002"). Larger resin pieces require substantial manual labor to finish.
2. Cast Materials (Premium – Ideal for Multiple Copies & Durable Art)
• Synthetic Mineral Stone (Premium Eco-Stone): The ultimate material for high-end decor. It is a premium blend of mineral stone powder and a water-based acrylic polymer. It is completely smooth, captures flawless detail, does not chip or dust, and is 100% eco-friendly.
• Artistic Plaster (Budget Option): The traditional, cost-effective solution. It captures fine details well but remains fragile and prone to chalking or dusting over time. For outdoor use, it requires heavy varnishing to prevent it from absorbing moisture and swelling.
• Artistic Concrete (Heavy-Duty): Virtually indestructible. It has a slightly porous texture, which can soften very fine details on miniature items. For extra-large sizes, the final piece becomes extremely heavy and requires careful handling.

Material Density (Specific Gravity & Weight Guide)
• Polymer Plastics:
o PLA: 1.21 – 1.25 g/cm³ (0.70 – 0.72 oz/in³)
o ABS: 1.04 – 1.08 g/cm³ (0.60 – 0.62 oz/in³) (Lighter with higher impact resistance)
Note: Because plastics are 3D printed with hollow, honeycomb-like interiors (infill), the final objects are remarkably lightweight and easy to hang.
• UV Resin: 1.10 – 1.20 g/cm³ (0.64 – 0.69 oz/in³) (Density is similar to water, both before and after curing. Unlike plastics, resin pieces are printed solid/dense).
• Synthetic Mineral Stone: 1.75 – 1.85 g/cm³ (1.01 – 1.07 oz/in³) (Feels solid and premium, significantly heavier than plastics).
• Artistic Plaster: 1.40 – 1.80 g/cm³ (0.81 – 1.04 oz/in³) (Weight varies based on the water-to-powder ratio and grade).
• Artistic Concrete: 2.00 – 2.20 g/cm³ (1.16 – 1.27 oz/in³) (The heaviest and most solid material in our lineup).
Paints, Finishes & Coatings
All materials can be painted or stained in a wide variety of custom shades.
• Metallic Finishes on Plastics: We apply high-grade metallic paints that mimic real metal with an ultra-realistic look.
• Cold Casting on Cast Materials: For synthetic stone and plaster, we blend genuine metal powders directly into the outer casting layer. The finished product looks, feels, and ages exactly like solid, heavy metal.
• Concrete Finishes: Because concrete is naturally porous, it absorbs a portion of the metal composite, resulting in a subtler, more muted metallic sheen. This creates a very distinct, raw industrial aesthetic.
Final Protection & Longevity
In the final processing stage, every single piece is sealed with a protective matte, satin, or high-gloss varnish.
For outdoor pieces, we use a specialized, heavy-duty marine-grade varnish engineered to block UV radiation, prevent fading, and provide 100% waterproofing against humidity and weather elements.
Pricing & Order Volume
Pricing is primarily determined by the total volume of the object, which dictates the amount of raw materials used and the manual labor hours required.
Because cast items require us to create a custom master mold, they benefit heavily from economies of scale — the more copies you order from the same design, the lower the cost per unit.

When we proceed with foundry and casting methods, we capture the finest details by creating a high-fidelity silicone matrix. The final physical pieces are rendered using a curated selection of premium mediums:
Composite Mineral Stone (Jesmonite): An exceptionally dense, high-performance material that captures every nuanced detail. It is relatively lightweight, structurally resilient, and perfectly suited for outdoor elements.
Cold-Cast Metal: For an authentic metallic finish, we apply an initial outer mantle laden with genuine bronze or silver powder. The resulting surface behaves exactly like natural metal, developing a rich, organic patina over time.
Structural Concrete: An immortal material that offers unmatched longevity; however, its substantial weight makes it less practical for delicate decor, and its inherent porosity can compromise microscopic details in smaller scales.
Artisanal Plaster: A classic yet delicate material, prone to minor abrasion and susceptible to ambient moisture, ideal for traditional indoor aesthetics.

During the initial prototyping and formative stages, we build our primary models using an engineered, shatter-resistant resin. Alternatively, we may employ an enriched, eco-friendly bio-polymer of plant origin (PLA) or a technical polymer engineered for high structural integrity (ABS). When these compositions serve as the final display pieces, they are meticulously hand-painted with professional acrylics or finished to emulate precious metals. These specific polymer models are intended exclusively for interior spaces, as their resistance to temperature fluctuations and humidity is inherently limited.
Structural Integrity:
Reinforcement: For larger scales, we integrate a structural reinforcement mesh made of advanced glass fibers to ensure ultimate structural integrity and long-term stability.
Weatherproofing: When a piece is destined for outdoor installation, it is treated with a specialized, technical varnish that renders it completely impermeable to water.
Architecture: To balance weight, structural utility, and cost-efficiency, works exceeding 40 centimeters in dimension are engineered with a hollow architecture, maintaining a robust wall thickness of 10 to 12 millimeters. Below this threshold, pieces are cast solid.

The foundational parameter dictating cost is the physical volume of the object, alongside raw material consumption and the specialized artisan hours invested. Because volumetric scale increases exponentially rather than linearly, a minor increase in dimensions results in a significantly larger physical mass. This exponential expansion directly influences material volume and labor, which is reflected in the final valuation.
